Terms & Conditions

Last updated:

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website www.nofrictionlab.co.uk and any services, content, products, or digital materials offered through it (collectively, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

The Site is operated by No‑Friction Lab ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader business registered in the United Kingdom.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Site.

You must not:

  1. Use the Site in any way that breaches applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  2. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which the Site is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to the Site.
  3. Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or other malicious or technologically harmful material.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

3. Information on this Site

The content on the Site is provided for general information and marketing purposes only. While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no representations, warranties, or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the Site is complete, accurate, or suitable for your specific circumstances.

Nothing on the Site constitutes professional, financial, or legal advice. You should obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action based on the content on the Site.

4. Services and Audits

We may offer services such as UX and CRO audits, consulting, or digital templates (the "Services"). Additional terms (for example, proposals, statements of work, or booking terms) may apply to specific Services and will be provided to you at or before the time of purchase or engagement. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the specific service terms, the service‑specific terms will take precedence for that Service.

We reserve the right to:

  1. Add, remove, or change Services offered on the Site.
  2. Refuse any order or engagement where we reasonably believe it is not a good fit or where information provided is incomplete or misleading.

5. Pricing, Payment, and Refunds

Prices for Services will be clearly stated on the Site or in a proposal or booking form before you commit to purchase.

Unless otherwise stated:

  1. All prices are in GBP and may be subject to applicable taxes.
  2. Payment is typically required in advance of the Service being delivered.
  3. Payments are processed via third‑party providers such as Stripe or similar; by making a payment, you also agree to their terms and privacy policies.

Refunds:

  1. Because Services such as audits involve time and expertise, refunds are generally not offered once work has started, unless required by law or agreed in writing.
  2. Any specific refund or cancellation policy for a given offer will be stated at the point of purchase and will apply in addition to these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Site (including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, layouts, and other materials) is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may:

  1. View, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non‑commercial use.

You must not:

  1. Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or otherwise exploit any Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
  2. Remove any copyright, trade mark, or other proprietary notices from the content.

Where we provide you with deliverables as part of a paid Service (for example, a written audit report), you are granted a licence to use those deliverables within your own business. You must not resell or publicly distribute them as your own intellectual property without prior written consent.

7. User Content and Feedback

If you choose to provide feedback, testimonials, or other content to us (for example by email or form submissions), you grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing and service improvement purposes, unless you explicitly state otherwise in writing.

You are responsible for ensuring any content you provide:

  1. Does not infringe the rights of any third party.
  2. Is not unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

8. Third‑Party Links and Tools

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites or tools that are not owned or controlled by us. These links are provided for convenience only.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for:

  1. The content or practices of any third‑party websites.
  2. Any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

You use third‑party sites and tools at your own risk and should review their terms and privacy policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  1. The Site and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  2. We will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with:
  3. Your use of, or inability to use, the Site; or
  4. Your reliance on any content displayed on the Site.

In relation to paid Services, our total aggregate liability to you, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will be limited to the amount you have paid us for the relevant Service giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

11. Privacy and Cookies

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are available on the Site. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read those policies and understand how we collect and process personal data.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Site.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.
